OK, so I have to admit...I didn't take any pictures today, but because I don't want to skip a day, I stole one of my daughter's pics.  She stayed the night at a friend's house last night, and this is a picture she took today while over there.  I can't believe what a great photographer she is!

Brendan still hasn't broken the thumb sucking habit... and so today, when he cut the pad of his thumb, I thought "Great, maybe we can use this as the catalyst to stop thumb sucking".  Well, wishful thinking...he decided to start sucking on his forefinger now instead because his "thumb is owie..."

Well, I was so excited about having this week to clean out the garage this week, now that the kids are back in school and the holidays are over, but I guess it just isn't meant to be.  First of all, the weather has been crazy! Too much snow for England! And now today, the kids get sent home early from school because of the weather...UGH!  So, we'll play in the snow today instead of working, how does that sound?

So, as I went through box after box today, I came across a huge box of craft supplies...BIG SURPRISE, huh? LOL!  So, why do we spend hundreds of dollars on birthday and Christmas presents? Craig and Brendan spent at least an hour playing with 4 styrofoam balls!  And of course, being a young man, Brendan is obsessed with boobies, so 2 of the styrofoam balls had to become boobies!!  :Love my men!

Let the cleaning commence!!! We have hired a skip (a small dumpster) for the week and will start the pre-PCS clear out!! WOO HOO! So, hopefully this time next week, I will have a pic of a comletely full skip or a pic of a nicely organized garage...one or the other...or BOTH!!!!

So, have you ever wondered what builder's leave behind under the floors and in the walls...well, no dead bodies here, but when the landlord came over today to fix our leaking shower, he found a potato chip packet in the floor under the shower... at least it wasn't a moldy old sandwich, huh?

I know, not very exciting today, but nothing really exciting happened today.  I read an entire book, and the landlord fixed our shower...that's about it...and it was wonderful to have a day off from excitement! Because, starting tomorrow...I am going to be crazy busy again...come back tomorrow to see why!

(pic is on the mysteriosly disappearing SD card...I will find it and post it! But let me just say that people thought I was crazy taking a picture of my pile of laundry at the laundromat!!!)

Well, tonight after church, I did what I usually do on a Sunday night, LAUNDRY.  But, tonight, it seems that our laundry multiplied while we were asleep at night.

Tonight, we had Craig's friend, Blue his wife, Agniezska and 1yo son Arthur came over for a big dinner.  So, I spent the day messing up my nice clean kitchen that I worked all day yesterday on! But, it was worth it!  Now, I need to get up the energy to go do the dishes! UGH!!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!
So, I spent today cleaning (fun stuff!) and making lists. Lists of what needs to be done in the next couple of months before we PCS, what I need to take photos of to post on lakenheathyardsales, what meals we'll be eating for  the next couple of weeks, what we'll be spending our money on this paycheck, etc. etc. etc.  And of course, doing dishes and making lists is always more fun with a glass (or bottle) of your favorite (Moscato d'Asti) wine, right?

I've started as I mean to go on... Well, not really.  I really wanted my first pic of the new year to be a family pic.  But, that wasn't to be.  We do need to take a family pic...so, maybe tomorrow!

Get Ready, Set, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cameras are charged, and the first picture of 365 is tomorrow!! Get ready tonight!

Of course, some days, you just really don't know what to take a picture of. For those days, I have a calendar of ideas! Every month, I'll have a new calendar for you! Of couse, being Blogger ignorant, I have no idea how to attach a .doc file to a post...or if it's possible.  So, if you'd like it, just email me and I'll email it to you!

And please, if you are doing your own Project 365, leave me a comment or email me with a link to your pic so I can see what you're doing!

Project 365 Basics

Alright - for those of you who are interested, but not quite sure what a Project 365 is, I'll try and outline it for you...

*Main Idea - journal your everyday life EVERY DAY for the year using a pic a day.

*Taking the Pictures - you can choose to take random shots that happen during the day, or stage your shots. Either way, have fun with it! Some people use a Project 365 to improve the photography skills. Me, I just want to take a picture a day!

*Using the Pictures - remember, these pictures are a sort of journal of your daily life. If it helps, keep a diary/journal of notes on the pics so you remember what they are about. Personally, I will be creating a double page scrapbook layout (using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio) at the end of each week so the journaling will be fresh in my mind as to what happened that day. I will also post my daily pic here on this blog. At the end of each week, when I've done my double page layout, I will post a pic of that as well.

*Go at Your Own Pace - if you are new to the Project 365 concept, take it easy! And remember, if you miss a day of pictures, that's ok! Don't give up! One day out of 365 is not going to ruin the year, right?

*HAVE FUN!!! - Most of all, have fun...think of this as a diary in pictures...but not so personal. ;)

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them! I can't wait to start! (And, I'm hoping that I'll get a new camera by the end of the year...this picture a day thing will go far in my argument that I need a new one! LOL!!!!)

Alright, I've jumped on the blog bandwagon. Mine will not be a fancy blog with lots of buttons. (In other words, I am pretty much blog world ignorant) Basically, I want to use this blog for 2 reasons:

1)My Project 365 (see first post, and another post with more details will come in a couple of days!)
2)To keep in touch with my family and friends around the world.
